Support

Something adrift?

Keel is a small uptime monitoring service: it checks your URLs on a schedule, opens an incident after two consecutive failures, and sends webhook alerts when one opens or closes. It is run by one person, and support works the same way — this page and one email address.

Best effort, and honest about it: expect a reply within a few days, not minutes. This page and that address are the whole support channel — there is no ticket system, chat, or phone line.

Common questions

Short answers to the things people actually ask.

When does an incident open?

After two consecutive failed checks. One failure is treated as noise and logged but not alerted on. When a later check succeeds, the incident closes.

What do webhooks look like?

When an incident opens or closes, Keel POSTs a JSON payload to each channel subscribed to that event. Webhook URLs must be HTTPS. You can subscribe per channel to down (incident opens) and up (incident closes) events, and send a test from the console.

What are the plan limits?

Free: 3 monitors, checks every 5 minutes, webhook alerts, 30-day check history. Pro: £5/month for 50 monitors and checks every 60 seconds. Plan limits apply to the account, not per monitor.

How do I delete my account or data?

Email vixiethemoose@gmail.com from the address on the account and ask for deletion. Your monitors, channels, and check history are removed with it.

Can I pay for Pro?

Not yet. Payments go through Creem, which is not live, so Pro cannot currently be bought. Pro launches together with payments — until then the free plan is the whole service.
